Apply it to dry, already styled hair, after complete drying and breaking up the layer that gel forms as it dries, if you have used gel. It sets hair like a hairspray, yet is extremely lightweight. Its role is not to create or define the curl from scratch, but to finish the shape of the curls and stabilise it. This way the curl keeps its shape and bounce for longer. The curl setting spray complements styling with cream and gel and does not replace any of those steps.

The spray has a protein-humectant formula with PVP, a water-soluble setting polymer that helps define and set the curl and is accepted under the Curly Girl Method. It is complemented by rice proteins as well as moisturising glycerin and panthenol. The formula is in line with the CGM: it contains no silicones, sulphates, drying alcohols, mineral oils or paraffin, nor waxes that are hard to remove with a gentle shampoo. The curl setting spray is a styling product, not an emollient, so on dry hair it is best applied over a leave-in conditioner or a light cream.
